Nargosa Central Parliamentary Quarter Deliberation council meeting chambers A blue and white lit room of steel flooring and panels is filled with the long table of cabinet members. Of 16 Nagarians sat side by side and opposite each other the close cabinet mutters to one another. Some familiar faces but many that used to warm those very seats no longer sit in the chambers and are now tucked into lonesome graves. Panels on The room show economic statistics, communication reports from interstellar probes and transmission feeds from mainstream information outlets. The attitude in the room was one of a new dawn and a fresh slate, prepped for new beginnings like one could imagine their first day at the academy. Through it's recent history the chambers had changed in design but its purpose remained the same. By the parliament it had been referred to as the room that never sleeps. Those that were new to the chambers understood that they breathed the same nitrogen composite and sat in the same chairs as the ones before them. Some of the most important decisions of their very species were made in that single room. Fresh faces to name a few were the new governor of Nargosa, Lockora. Lockora being The overseer of the elimination of The Tal occupation and the reason why many of the seats bare new occupants. A sturdy well built Nagarian with more distain for inferior Nagarians than even other species. His loyalty is only matched by his malice and fury. A Nagarian of few words but many decisions. The decorated joint chief of staff Fraganta Arpentum. Gone were the days of this fresh faced officer, the hero of the battle of Toostis, the unofficial son and student of the legendary Admiral Gaskaas. Now sat a confident General that for the most part, kept his politics out of his command. But his decision to coup along with the current leader had worked. Now he decides not just for his troops but for the direction of the greater dynamic. The Secretary of Commerce, Rothcore. The insightful and extremely intelligent Nagarian. He holds the record for being able to psycho -pheromone control over 50 Dascans at once. He over saw the induction of Saphrithid and Human slavery markets. His micro management at a macro- economic level is unparalleled. He is cited by many as the one who brought the federation into a new birth of free market economics. A Dascan walks into the chamber and states sternly: "All rise for Dallteirus." In walks the a tall Nagarian, described as handsome by Nagarian standards, he bears a cloak with a simple formal uniform. He donned few medals as his victories and accolades have never been sanctioned by official governments. He walks through the council chamber not blaring eye contact until he meets his seat. He chooses to stand and asks the members to sit. (Tradition being that the Chief must sit before others.) He looked around his newly formed council with pride. The pride was not of the potential of his cabinet but more to his satisfaction that his enemies that held the positions are now vanquished. He spoke slowly, with a more educated and sinister tone unlike previous chieftains that used a broader and simplistic language. "We as a species, have achieved more than we can possibly imagine. Once grumbling little tribes, fighting over what paint we should put on our faces and what word we use for God. Pitted into meaningless squabbles with other species for meaningless moons. To their credit, we will remember those before us fondly as they have not showed us how they failed, they have shown us how to do things wrong." "You have not been chosen by default or what you are the heir to. All of you are the best our nation has to offer. To drive us into new age of conquest and prosperity. If we are to continue on this journey I will make myself clear: No longer will petty grievances of clans hold us back. Your duty is to the species, the federation and to me. Let us show the universe to the true meaning of power. Let our fury be the foundation of this great federation." Edited by weaselwood, Feb 8 2018, 06:51 PM.
