"The actions by these so-called civilians show carelessness, ignorance, apathy and self loathing to say the least." Declamatorius shifted in his chair, eyeing Gredradenkum; the leader of the popular opposition. "Would you be comfortable to break bread with known terrorists when you knew that nearly two billion of your kin suffered under slavery the next system over?!" as the two began to exchange excuses Declamatorius cut in again. "The fact of the matter was that our opponents, who seek to undermine the empire at every turn, including putting a large fleet on our doorstep, a fleet, which by the way, Gredradekum, you claimed was minuscule!"

"This is preposterous! The pirate fleet was nothing more than a token defence force!"

"The extremist fleet had a heavy cruiser, were it not for the almost graceful precision of our brave warriors and our brothers in arms, we may have suffered unacceptable losses. The percentage of these so called civilians only indicates the investment into the pirates that these nations had. It is no secret, before the galactic council was terrorised in these dark times we were attempting to achieve a multi-national solution. Who wasn't prepared to do that? Who blocked the flourishing of this great nation at every turn? The very same who were in bed with the pirates in the first place. The bottom line is, to spend money in Tiran Station was to fill the pockets of pirates and gangsters. Funding organised crime is a criminal act, I label those that perished in the fires of Tiran as such; criminals."
