Oium is the home system of the Obskory Republic, its a relatively quiet system with only a few planets to speak of and there is only one that is in the habitable zone.

The Crypt is the main planet in the system, the Kory home world, and it is barren from surface to core with very limited resources. The Crypt's moon though is a basically a giant ball of metal, resources and untapped potential.

The moon was named the Obelisk and has been the Kory's main source of materials for most of their expansion through their system. It also serves as an orbital station for their home world to help with transporting goods and people to the 2nd main planet in the system known as Paradise.

Paradise was the only planet in the system that was considered livable until the Obskory nuked it to freeze the surface to suit their own people. It is a planet much like earth with a layer of magma below the surface and a molten core of iron.

Yurkhor hummed as he looked over a skeletal stature of an ancient rock mite. He looked down at the inscription, the Obskorys naturally high perception had made the font far smaller than what he was used to. Nevertheless he put on a pair of optical lenses and read about the rockmites. The Obskory were generous hosts, he knew they didn’t eat meat and yet they had obviously tried to make meats of many kinds, he mused to himself that only a gracious host would try and translate fine cuisine without an understanding of how it actually worked. Yurkhor bit down on what he assumed were rockmite grubs. It was actually tastier than some of the food back home.

Yurkhor was approached by Vanadax Ousiturr. A diplomatic military liaison for the mission. He in turn had his own minion, Nigel Ghursik a human dressed in Nakar diplomatic robes. His facial scarring and the strange technological millipedes crawling over his shoulders suggested he was an augmented war veteran.

“Ousiturr, always a pleasure, how can I help you today?” Yurkhor said.

“Yurkhor, meet Nigel, Nigel here will be the Obskory human liason, we’re going to leave him, here on this planet, can you get an implant drive and classify everything you want to hold onto then transfer it to Nigel here?”

Yurkhor nodded “That sounds good to me, do we know yet who the Obskory are sending with them?”

“Those facts havn’t been made clear but once you eat your breakfast you can sleep on the ship.”

“I can’t sleep mid jump, the queeziness gets to me.”

“Dynamic behold you diplomats are a soft bunch. Softer than even Nigel here.”

Nigel gave a dry laugh and a slow clap. He then opened his mouth slowly. “I’ll hold down the fort, my disposable knowledge on human anatomy and cultural influences will make me a useful asset here, in the meantime, you should go. The Administratum wishes to see a swift return with Obskory in tow. I believe Declamatorius wishes a photo opportunity.”

Council Chambers

Having slated their appetite and quenched their thirst the Elders made their way back to their council chambers quickly to swear in their new Ambassador, as expected Drajkon was there waiting for them in the main council chambers. "Drajkon excellent your here already! You look well my boy, been keeping up the recreational drilling i see" The Magnus elder pointed to a large greyish scar up Drajkon's left arm. "Yes indeed i have your grace, I've been working on a new drilling machine with the engineering corp that should increase our speed and efficiency dramatically should it prove feasible."

"That is indeed great news Drajkon but I'm afraid your going to have to put that project on hold for the time being, we have a new endeavour for you that you may enjoy." Drajkon eyed the elders with a hard stare, he didn't like the sounds of this, last time they had a new endeavour for him it had ended in 25 dead Kory and a glowing hole in the wall of tunnel XC-24-F. "What endeavour might this be your grace?"

The elders explained the situation to Drajkon, what his new position would entail and how it would effect the Obskory's intergalactic relationships in the future. Seeing few to no problems with the request and having secured a request for a research lab to allow him to continue his work with the engineering corp Drajkon agreed to the ambassadorial role in the Varr cluster and with that they set off back to Nakar Embassy with Drajkon in tow.
